The rain has returned for a bit to SE Arizona. Its cool and bright out and with the changes to the Federal government, it feels like the potential for new growth is everywhere!
Now off to breakfast with Jess and a couple friends to talk about a project we have in the works.
My last two weeks have been spent putting an Exchange email system back together from the ground up. Combine a bad design with a flaky A/D setup and a completely aged infrastructure and it was like pushing a rope up hill for 12 days straight of 12-18 hour days and no time off.
It re-enforces why I have avoided Exchange my whole career…. Now I feel like I know it inside and out. Yuck!
Anyway, its good to be done with that. Now to plan for some major changes at work…
Let it go
Let it roll right off your shoulder
Don’t you know
The hardest part is over
Let it in
Let your clarity define you
In the end
We will only just remember how it feels
Our lives are made
In these small hours
These little wonders
These twists and turns of fate
Time falls away,
But these small hours
These small hours
Still remain
Let it slide
Let your troubles fall behind you
Let it shine,
Till you feel it all around you
And I don’t mind
If it’s me you need to turn to
We’ll get by
It’s the heart that really matters in the end
Our lives are made
In these small hours
These little wonders
These twists and turns of fate
Time falls away
But these small hours
These small hours
Still remain
All of my regret
Will wash away somehow
But I cannot forget
the way I feel right now
In these small hours
These little wonders
These twists and turns of fate
Yeah, these twisted turns of fate
Time falls away
Yeah, but these small hours,
These small hours
Still remain
Yeah, oh they still remain
These little wonders
All these twists and turns of fate
Time falls away
But these small hours
These little wonders
Still remain
My favorite webcomic is the Devil’s Panties by Ms Jennie Breeden. She is a talented and very funny artist and her work really reflects CON life for those of us who have the privilege of attending SciFi, Gaming, and Comic conventions. If you haven’t seen her work, go enjoy! And buy her book!
A couple years ago I had a chance to get my picture taken with her at a Con at Smith College in Massachusetts.
Last week 106 bundles of new roofing shingles arrived for my amusement…. Got started on the new roof this morning with the first 3 courses all laid down. This is what it looks like!
I feel like we took back America tonight… Gods, what an incredible change. We really did make a difference. Even the House and Senate will be Democratic!
